Greystoke' Steel Pony/Croc Mix Crystal Prong Belt

Back in 2004, for our very first collection, we came up with a belt design mixing hair on cowhide (pony hair) with mock croc leather. That style, going by the name of 'Weissmuller' has been with us ever since, recoloured into various incarnations, but always distinctive and edgy. This year we decided that a slight update was needed and in homage to Weissmuller (famous as an Olympic swimming champion but especially as the actor in the original Tarzan movies) this new incarnation is called 'Greystoke' (as in the Son of Tarzan...). The essence of the original design remains but has been updated with a new more fluid panel design and a sleeker tip shape. We are still using a mock croc textured leather but this time an Alligator Tail print and pairing it with tonal pony hair. The contrast of the two textures remains in our minds cool and different but by using matching tones the belt retains an elegance. This belt comes in a versatile steel grey tone that would be the perfect alternative to more traditional black. Of course this combination is not just about the belt but also about the buckle...by adding this wonderfully textured prong style buckle with its beaten surface and smattering of Swarovski crystals the belt has really come to life and become a stand out design. The gunmetal finish is perfect with the grey tones of the belt and helps give it a sleek, sophisticated look whereas the smoked grey crystals add lightness and sparkle. The end result is a slick design full of character that could be worn both with casual denim or for smart casual occasions whether with a dress, trousers or knitwear. An eye-catching style at all times - one that will definitely stand you out from the crowd.
